Pictured is the "1st Draft" design for the Park at GMU! A special thanks goes out to Parks McLeod, who is designing the park! The runways shown are not the real ones, they will be in the park! The plan is to have a "taxi way" around the park for people to use for exercising; a natural amphitheatre for viewing the real runway action and school trip lessons; a picnic pavilion; a plane fuselage that will serve as the entrance to the park; airplane wings over benches that will serve as shade structures; and of course some play equipment surrounded by lots of open green space!

The Greenville Airport Commission has donated the use of some land to build a park near the Runway Cafe, which has a great view of airport activity. The park will provide a place for Upstate residents to enjoy aviation and outside recreation.

The city permits to start moving dirt have been applied for!!!! Please donate today and let's get this park built for Greenvillians and our visitors to enjoy!

Individuals or companies can make donations. Different levels of sponsorship are available and the largest donor may get to name the park! All donation amounts are welcome. Five dollars here and ten dollars there will really add up. All donations are tax deductible per GMU’s accountant.

In recognition of donations of $100 or more, personalized bricks will be incorporated into the park’s design. They are a wonderful way to honor or memorialize a friend or relative. Brick inscriptions will be in all capital letters. You can use any characters commonly found on a key board (like: !, #, &, etc.).
